The Business Analyst is responsible for the foundation of the SDLC process. It is critical that the Business Analyst captures all the requirements, business rules, exceptions, dependencies, use case scenarios, activities, processes, workflows and other important aspects and translates them into a formal Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Functional Specifications Document (FSD). The BRD and FSD form the basis on which the functional accuracy of the system resides. The output is discussed and explained to technology team as well as the quality assurance team. Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in the SDLC process.

Gap Analysis
The gap analysis is conducted in scenarios where the business stakeholders are looking for certain functionality which does not currently exist in the systems. Our Business Analysts have helped organizations with ensuring that the documentation on existing systems is current and it reflects all the business rules, as well as, document the new requirements from the business users to establish the premise for gap analysis. The engagement is typically referred to "As-Is" and "To-Be" scenario.
